 It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Royal can now relate to. They fell just short of the Charter Oak Chargers by a score of  5-3 on Tuesday. Royal's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
  Julianna Galbraith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Mrdah Murali made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-2 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Royal  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with nine  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Charter Oak only tossed five.
 On Charter Oak's side,  the team  relied heavily on  Jayla Brown, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI and a  double.  Lyla Caston was another key contributor,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Royal's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Charter Oak, they pushed their record up to 19-2-1 with that  victory, which was their 13th straight  at home.
 Royal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Charter Oak, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Agoura at 3:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Charter Oak's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8  runs per game  this season, so Agoura's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
