Basketball Game Preview: Middlesboro Yellowjackets vs. Marion County Knights

Having just played yesterday, the Middlesboro Yellowjackets will head out on the road to face off against the Marion County Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Middlesboro turned things around against Nicholas County on Friday. They skirted past the Bluejackets 64-62. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Yellowjackets have posted since January 29th.

Meanwhile, Marion County had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 68-56 win over the Tigers. While the Knights didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-24), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Marion County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2-1 record this season. As for Middlesboro, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
