Basketball Recap: Malcolm Beats Freeman for Their Third Straight Win

Malcolm extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Payton Dolliver. The Malcolm Clippers walked away with a 69-59 victory over the Freeman Falcons on Tuesday thanks in part to Dolliver, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 boards. Her morning made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Lena Schmidt, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (three).

Malcolm's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Freeman, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season.

Malcolm will challenge York at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. York will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Malcolm surely won't give up without a fight. As for Freeman, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-27 win against Wilber-Clatonia on the 23rd.
