After flying high against Medical Lake last Tuesday, Colfax came back down to earth. The Bulldogs lost 11-5 to the Potlatch Loggers on Saturday. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Izzy Huntley and Riley Hennigar stepped up to the plate in a big way. Huntley scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances, while Hennigar scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Huntley has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Swan, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Colfax's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Potlatch, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Colfax will venture away from home to take on Liberty at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Potlatch, they will welcome Clearwater Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Loggers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 13 runs per game this season.
