While Benton's win against Chillicothe wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cardinals had just enough and edged out the Hornets 3-2 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for Benton as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Benton's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Chillicothe, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Benton will face off against Lafayette at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chillicothe, they will welcome St. Paul Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on October 2.
