Baseball Recap: Minneota Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Minneota and Yellow Medicine East meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Vikings lost 10-3 to the Sting. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly seven runs.

Minneota's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Yellow Medicine East, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

Coming up, Minneota will head out to square off against Benson at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Benson's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Minneota's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Yellow Medicine East, they will challenge Dawson-Boyd at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Blackjacks will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Sting surely won't give up without a fight.
