Basketball Recap: Kirbyville Takes a Loss

Kirbyville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Bob Hope Eagles and fell 80-24. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1450th, while the Eagles are ranked 683rd).

Kirbyville's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Bob Hope, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Kirbyville will venture away from home to face off against Warren at 8:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Bob Hope, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Sabine Pass at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
