Baseball Game Preview: Ketcham Storm vs. Walter Panas Panthers

Ketcham has won five straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Walter Panas has won five straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Storm will host the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If Ketcham beats Walter Panas with ten runs on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Storm didn't even let Mahopac on the board on Thursday, marking the Storm's second-straight 10-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Storm in their matchups with the Wolf Pac: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on Tyler Durkin, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Walter Panas had just enough and edged out Brewster 5-4 on Wednesday.

Vinny Lugo looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Tristan Pagliettini was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Matt Garcia was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Walter Panas' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Ketcham, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.
