It was a good run, but Plainfield South unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Providence Catholic Celtics by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cougars have suffered since March 18th.

Plainfield South's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Providence Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plainfield South will host Plainfield East at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bengals will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Providence Catholic, they will welcome Marian Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
