Basketball Game Preview: Teague Lions vs. Rogers Eagles

The Teague Lions will take on the Rogers Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Teague will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Teague is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since December 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Elkhart out 30-27.

Bethanah Owens was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. She has been hot, having posted 13 or more boards the last five times she's played.

Teague smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 11 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Rogers didn't have too much trouble with Rockdale on Tuesday as they won 53-35.

Rogers has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points over those games. As for Teague, they pushed their record up to 13-12 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Everything came up roses for Teague against Rogers in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, as the squad secured a 67-21 win. Will Teague repeat their success, or does Rogers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
