Softball Recap: Kenosha Tremper Gets the Win

Kenosha Tremper posted their closest win since April 3rd on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Whitnall Falcons, sneaking past 4-2. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 4-3 victory the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Hannah Holmes tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Vivian Meier, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Kenosha Tremper is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Whitnall, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenosha Tremper will welcome Shoreland Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pacers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.56 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Whitnall, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Brookfield East at 4:30 p.m.
