Basketball Recap: Comanche Comes Up Short

After soaring to 56 points the game before, Comanche was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. The game between them and the Rio Vista Eagles didn't end well, with the Comanche Indians falling 46-28. The contest marked the Indians' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Rio Vista got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashton Huey out in front who went 6 of 11 en route to 15 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Huey has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawson Macklin, who posted 15 points and seven rebounds.

Comanche's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Rio Vista, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Comanche will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Early at 7:30 p.m. As for Rio Vista, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 65-35 defeat against Goldthwaite on the 14th.
