Basketball Recap: Locust Grove Takes a Loss

Locust Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 64-23 loss at the hands of the Stockbridge Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-18 back in December of 2024.

Stockbridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kahli Ingram led the charge by putting up 13 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Ingram has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last seven times she's played. Jayla Fulks was another key player, posting 14 points.

Locust Grove's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Stockbridge, they pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Locust Grove has already played their next contest, a 53-28 defeat against Hampton on the 29th. As for Stockbridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-52 loss against Woodland on the 30th.
