It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Greene County can now relate to. They fell 49-41 to the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers on Friday. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their 14-game winning streak.

McIntosh County Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Ellis, who shot 54% from the field on his way to 21 points and three steals. Ellis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Mj Quarterman was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards.

Greene County's loss dropped their record down to 22-8. As for McIntosh County Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 21 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season.
