 Norfolk is 1-9 against Columbus since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Thursday. The Norfolk Panthers will head out on the road to  face off against  the Columbus Discoverers at 5:00  p.m. Norfolk will be strutting in after a  win while Columbus will be coming in after a  defeat.
 Last Tuesday, Norfolk kept a clean sheet against Fremont. They had just enough and edged the Tigers out  1-0. Given Norfolk's advantage  in MaxPreps' Nebraska soccer rankings  (they are ranked tenth, while Fremont is ranked 43rd), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.

 Brayden Long, who's now up to four this season.
 Meanwhile,  Columbus unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lincoln Southwest. Columbus has struggled against Lincoln Southwest recently, as their  game on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
 Norfolk's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Columbus, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
