Soccer Recap: Buckingham Takes a Loss

Buckingham lost against Randolph-Henry back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Knights came up short against the Statesmen, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Buckingham can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while Randolph-Henry are ranked 128th).

Buckingham's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Randolph-Henry, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Buckingham will face off against rival Nottoway at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Randolph-Henry is set to take on their familiar foe Lunenburg Central at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
