Metamora is a perfect 10-0 against East Peoria since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Redbirds will take on the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Metamora has four straight victories, East Peoria has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Metamora against Limestone as the squad secured a 49-13 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Redbirds' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Rockets are ranked 406th).

Meanwhile, East Peoria had to suffer through a 66-32 loss at the hands of Morton. Even if the Raiders couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Metamora's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for East Peoria, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Everything came up roses for Metamora against East Peoria in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 48-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redbirds since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
