Memorial is a perfect 10-0 against Northbrook since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mustangs will host the Raiders at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Memorial has five straight wins, Northbrook has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Thursday, Memorial blew past Cypress Creek, posting a 49-21 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won three games by more than 27 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Memorial got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Conrad Bennett out in front who rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns. Bennett's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Gulledge, who rushed for 86 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Memorial was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 260 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 157 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Memorial's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. Jacob Espinoza was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. He has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played. Isaac Richardson was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making eight total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Northbrook played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 35-12 to Cypress Ridge.

Although Northbrook took the loss, they still got scores from Samajai Barker and Andres Munoz.

Northbrook didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Trindon Silvernale and Barker. Northbrook received some extra help from Munoz, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Northbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
