Austintown-Fitch was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Trinity Christian on Wednesday. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the Warriors. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by eight runs or more this season.

Kourtney Fedorek spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Rodgers, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaliana Ray, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Austintown-Fitch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .634. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trinity Christian only posted an OBP of .167.

Austintown-Fitch's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Trinity Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

Austintown-Fitch didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-0 victory against Princeton on the 23rd. As for Trinity Christian, they will head out to square off against Fairmont Senior at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
