Football Recap: Lodi Flames vs. Edison Vikings
Lodi had lost nine straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-9 to make it ten. They had to suffer through a 56-17 loss at the hands of the Edison Vikings. The Flames were not able to make up for their defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.
Although Lodi took the loss, they still got scores from Mark Adkins and Noah Hufford.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed 11 in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Adkins, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
As for Edison, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.9 points over those games.
Devin Rasmussen produced another solid performance throwing for 393 yards and seven TDs on only 16 passes. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 31 passing touchdowns on the season.
Lodi does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Edison, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Grant at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Pacers have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
