Preview: East Bernard Brahmas vs. Danbury Panthers
East Bernard is 10-0 against Danbury since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The East Bernard Brahmas will head out on the road to face off against the Danbury Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
After a string of four wins, East Bernard's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Van Vleck.
Meanwhile, Danbury's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by Hitchcock 82-29. While losing is never fun, Danbury can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1656th, while Hitchcock is ranked 98th).
East Bernard's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6. As for Danbury, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season.
East Bernard took their victory against Danbury in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 69-48. Will East Bernard repeat their success, or does Danbury have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
