Preview: Harvest Community Warriors vs. River City Science Academy Rockets
Harvest Community has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the River City Science Academy Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Harvest Community knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully River City Science Academy likes a good challenge.
Harvest Community put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They really took it to Faith Christian Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-40 victory on the road. With Harvest Community ahead 53-23 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Harvest Community had a senior duo take command as Isaiah Bunso scored 16 points and Adrian Walker scored 16 points. Bunso hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Sean Murphy was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, River City Science Academy suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Stanton at home and fell 65-23.
Harvest Community is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season. As for River City Science Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.
Harvest Community beat River City Science Academy 59-52 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Will Harvest Community repeat their success, or does River City Science Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
