Windy City preps Jahlil Okafor, Kendrick Nunn and Jabari Parker among 12 players selected for United States under-16 National Team.
USA Basketball finalized the 12-player roster for the 2011 under-16 National Team on Sunday.
The team consists of U.S. citizens born on or after Jan. 1, 1995 and will compete June 21-25 in Cancun, Mexico, at the FIBA Americas U16 Championship. The top three teams in that event advance to the 2012 FIBA U17 World Championship.
"We have a lot of talent. It's a very talented and skilled team," head coach Don Showalter said. "I know it was really hard to choose 12 players out of the 27 we brought in, but I think that the 12 who were chosen will certainly represent USA Basketball on and off the court in a really great manner."
