Basketball Recap: Dundalk Falls Despite Big Games from Lanaya Valentine and Caitlyn Howard

Dundalk lost against Catonsville back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Dundalk Owls took a hard 49-33 fall against the Catonsville Comets. The Owls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Dundalk had strong showings from Caitlyn Howard, who posted five points along with nine blocks and seven boards, and Lanaya Valentine, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Valentine has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. Jalibeth Rivera was another key player, putting up seven points.

Dundalk's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Catonsville, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Dundalk nor Catonsville have any future games scheduled.
