It's playoff time, and Elmira had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Corning-Painted Post Hawks on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Express as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Elmira's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-11. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Corning-Painted Post, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Elmira will take on Ketcham at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Storm's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Express' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Corning-Painted Post does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
