Baseball Recap: Shasta Comes Up Short

Shasta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chico Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-3 on Tuesday.

Shasta saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Kennedy, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Shasta's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Chico, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 15-0.

While Shasta had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
