P.K. Yonge had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their defense stepped up to hand the Lafayette Hornets an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Blue Wave have won 12 matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Lafayette from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Faith Hardy led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

The victory (which was P.K. Yonge's sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 44 goals over those six contests. As for Lafayette, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8-1.

Looking ahead, P.K. Yonge will be playing at home against Maclay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. P.K. Yonge's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Maclay's offense will have their work cut out for them. Lafayette does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
