Volleyball Recap: Questa Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Questa came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the McCurdy Bobcats, falling 3-0. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Questa was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-23, 25-19.

Defeat or not, Questa got some senior leadership from Jocelyne Ortega and Ariana Medina. Ortega had 23 digs, while Medina had 15 digs. Ortega is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Questa's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 13-4. As for McCurdy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Questa will square off against rival Penasco at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, McCurdy is set to face off against their familiar foe Escalante at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
