            Baseball Recap: Mountain View Toros vs. Red Mountain Mountain Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Monday just wasn't the day for Mountain View's offense. They lost  7-0 to the Red Mountain Mountain Lions on Monday. Having soared to a lofty ten  runs in the game before, the Toros' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Mountain View got a good showing from  Mitchell Lamoreaux, who   pitched 3.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   four  hits. That's the first time  Lamoreaux hasn't allowed a single  earned run since back in March.
 On the hitting side,  Beckham Barney was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases.
Mountain View's  defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 13-10. As for Red Mountain, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record  this season.
While Mountain View had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 3:45  p.m.  on Thursday.
