Baseball Recap: Forsyth Home Educators Beats Lighthouse Christian for Their Third Straight Win

Forsyth Home Educators won against Lighthouse Christian on Tuesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Hawks blew past the Chargers 10-3. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.

Parker Broadus and Peyton Bennett did most of the damage at the plate: Broadus went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Bennett went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that Bennett has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Larson Stem, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The win (which was Forsyth Home Educators' third in a row) raised their record to 19-8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Lighthouse Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-6.

Looking ahead, Forsyth Home Educators will square off against Northside Falcons HomeSchool at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lighthouse Christian, they will face off against Fort Worth THESA at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.
