Baseball Recap: Northlake Christian Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

Northlake Christian put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. They put the hurt on the Pine Raiders with a sharp 13-0 win. The Wolverines have beaten the Raiders the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Raiders has come to flipping the script.

Luke McAdams was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Johnathon Lee also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Northlake Christian's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Pine, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Northlake Christian will venture away from home to face off against Archbishop Hannan at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pine, they will welcome East Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine is facing East Jefferson at the right time seeing as East Jefferson is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
