Middle Creek is 8-2 against Panther Creek since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Mustangs will host the Catamounts at 6:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Middle Creek managed to keep up with Green Level until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Mustangs came up short against the Gators, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Middle Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 231st, while Green Level are ranked 34th).

Meanwhile, Panther Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 5-0 to Holly Springs.

Middle Creek has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Panther Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Everything went Middle Creek's way against Panther Creek in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Middle Creek made off with a 4-1 win. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Catamounts turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
