Baseball Recap: A+ Charter School's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

A+ Charter School waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past Thunderbird Adventist Academy 15-1. The Maricopa have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Thunderbird Adventist Academy, too.

Jose Coronado made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4.

In other batting news, A+ Charter School got a big performance out of James Flores, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Carson De Paola was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

A+ Charter School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .724. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

A+ Charter School's record is now 8-1-1. As for Thunderbird Adventist Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
