Baseball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Gustine's 12th in Last 14 Outings

Gustine won against Le Grand on Tuesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Reds came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 9-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-3 on Tuesday.

Alexander Quezada was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jake Campbell, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Michael Salsa was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Gustine is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
