Baseball Recap: Scott Has No Trouble Against Wayne

Scott barely beat Wayne the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Skyhawks put the hurt on the Pioneers with a sharp 10-1 win on Saturday. The Skyhawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Jason Ferrell was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Louden White, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Scott's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Wayne, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Scott will head out to face off against Chapmanville Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wayne, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against St. Joseph Central at 6:00 p.m.
