Baseball Game Preview: Ridgedale Rockets vs. Arlington Red Devils

The Ridgedale Rockets will square off against the Arlington Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridgedale will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Ridgedale took a 13-run loss the last time they faced off against Elgin, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rockets had just enough and edged out the Comets 6-5 on Monday.

Ridgedale saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Mawer, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Mawer is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Ridgedale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .514 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Arlington came into Saturday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Cory-Rawson by a score of 6-3 on Saturday.

Ridgedale pushed their record up to 4-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Arlington, their victory bumped their record up to 3-14.
