Softball Recap: Menard Takes a Loss

Menard managed to slip by Richland Springs the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Coyotes on Friday, falling 16-5. The Yellowjackets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Coyotes earlier this season, when they won 11-10.

Kylee Summerville was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Perla Pacina was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Menard dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Richland Springs, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Coincidentally, Menard and Richland Springs will both be playing Medina the next time they take the field. The Yellowjackets will head out to face the Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Coyotes will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
