Baseball Recap: Greenville Comes Up Short

Greenville fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Sparta on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 4-3. The Yellow Jackets haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Greenville's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9-1. As for Sparta, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Spartans beat Greenville by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday.
