Pinewood waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines by a score of 2-0. The Panthers were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Wolverines, so the Panthers were just returning the favor.

Mailey Wang paced Pinewood's offense, picking up four kills. Wang got some help from Caitlin Yamaguchi and her six assists. Wang was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Pinewood's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for San Francisco Waldorf, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.

Pinewood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Stratford Prep on the 6th. As for San Francisco Waldorf, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Pescadero on the 6th.
