Volleyball Recap: Prentice Comes Up Short

Prentice had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 8-4 to make it six. They lost 3-0 to the Rib Lake Redmen. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Buccaneers have suffered since November 2, 2024.

Leah Lord paced Prentice's offense, picking up 15 kills. Lord got some help from Sophie Staroba and her 20 assists. Maddy Freeman and Piper Heikkinen kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

As for Rib Lake, the win keeps them at an undefeated 15-0. The game marked their most dominant victory of the season so far.

Rib Lake can attribute much of their success to Tahlia Scheithauer, who had 14 digs. Hailey Planasch also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Prentice has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Lakeland on the 11th. As for Rib Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Rio on the 12th.
