Baseball Recap: Macon Comes Up Short

Macon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-3 to the Chillicothe Hornets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-3 loss back in April.

Macon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Chillicothe, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6.

Macon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-0 loss against Kirksville on the 2nd. Chillicothe has also already played their next game (against Trenton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
