Softball Recap: Richland Northeast Takes a Loss

Richland Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-2 to the Dreher Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-8 last Tuesday.

Dayshana Miller made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Wisdom Johnson-Lanzot also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Richland Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Dreher, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.

Richland Northeast and Dreher will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Cavaliers see the field they'll take on A.C. Flora at 7:15 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Dreher, their break will end when they face Camden at 7:15 p.m. on the 22nd.
