Volleyball Game Preview: Millington Central Trojans vs. Covington Chargers

The Millington Central Trojans will face off against the Covington Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Millington Central will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Millington Central was able to grind out a solid win over Ripley, taking the game 3-1.

Meanwhile, Covington got the win against Craigmont on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Covington took every set by at least 22 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-3, 25-3.

Millington Central's win bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Covington, their victory bumped their record up to 14-7.

Millington Central couldn't quite get it done against Covington in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
