Softball Recap: Shoreham-Wading River Comes Up Short

Shoreham-Wading River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 8-1 to the Kings Park Kingsmen. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Kingsmen this season, with their most recent loss being a 16-0 defeat back in April.

Shoreham-Wading River's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Kings Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Shoreham-Wading River will take on Hampton Bays at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Baymen at the right time seeing as the Baymen are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Kings Park, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-7 victory against Smithtown West on the 3rd.
