Football Recap: Wissahickon Takes a Loss

Wissahickon entered their contest against Unionville on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Trojans fell 27-14 to the Longhorns. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Avery Godoy threw for 125 yards and one TD. Jason Murray Jr. was his top target, picking up 38 receiving yards.

Unionville can attribute much of their success to Nihal Batta, who rushed for 75 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 144 yards and one TD.

Wissahickon's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Unionville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Wissahickon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Unionville, they will head out to take on Strath Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 6.5 points per game this season, so the Longhorns' offense will have their work cut out for them.
