Baseball Recap: Papillion-Lavista Beats Omaha Central for Their Third Straight Win

Papillion-LaVista extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 17-10 in the process. They put the hurt on the Omaha Central Eagles with a sharp 10-2 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Monarchs considering their two-run performance the game before.

Cayden Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Isaac Pamaran was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. He also scored two runs, which is notable because Papillion-LaVista is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 9-10 otherwise. Evan Eddie also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Papillion-LaVista kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

As for Omaha Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. They have struggled against Papillion-LaVista recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

On Omaha Central's side, Marcus Kane was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
