Softball Recap: Myers Park Takes a Loss

On Tuesday, the Myers Park Mustangs came up short against the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers and fell 5-2.

Anna Eason spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Myers Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Regan Godman, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Ryann Rempson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Myers Park now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1-1.

Myers Park wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-2 defeat against Ardrey Kell on the 13th. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-2 victory against Lancaster on the 12th.
