Baseball Game Preview: Cinco Ranch Cougars vs. Morton Ranch Mavericks

For the second straight game, Cinco Ranch will face off against Morton Ranch. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cinco Ranch knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Morton Ranch likes a good challenge.

Cinco Ranch barely beat Morton Ranch the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Mavericks on Tuesday.

For Morton Ranch's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Edgar Flores-Guiterrez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Cinco Ranch's victory bumped their record up to 13-15-1. As for Morton Ranch, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 15 of their last 16 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season.
