Baseball Game Preview: Mead Panthers vs. Mt. Spokane Wildcats

For the first time this season, Mead will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to face off against the Mt. Spokane Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mead lost 12-2 to Chiawana on Saturday.

Mead saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Denison, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Mt. Spokane won against Woodinville on Saturday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. Mt. Spokane came out on top against Richland by a score of 6-3. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Bombers on their field since March 13, 2018.

Mt. Spokane has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs this season. As for Mead, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Mead came up short against Mt. Spokane in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, falling 10-5. Can Mead avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
