Softball Recap: North Branch Comes Up Short

If North Branch was riding high fresh off their 10-3 takedown of Chisago Lakes Area on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings lost 13-3 to the Zimmerman Thunder on Thursday. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Thunder earlier this season, when they won 14-4.

North Branch's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Zimmerman, they moved to 2-7 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

North Branch wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-2 defeat against St. Francis on the 9th. As for Zimmerman, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-4 loss against Becker on the 9th.
